Joomla! has 5 basic types to extensions that can be deployed into a Joomla! CMS web site.

Templates: Joomla! templates are the frame for your web site. This frame controls the site layout, menu system, and standard look and feel.

Language: Joomla! is multi-Language. We include all the language hooks in our extensions but do not do the translations. There are third party extensions that will help you do this.

Components: Joomla! components can add a great deal of capabilities to a web site. They will typically have a data management requirement and/or provide extensive features for the web site. We have a great deal of knowledge in deploying, customizing, and creating Joomla! components.

Modules: Joomla! modules are small pieces of code that can be easily deployed on any or all of your web site pages in almost any location. They can work in conjunction with a Joomla! component or be stand alone.

Plugins: Joomla! plugins are small background PHP functions that are executed at certain times and locations as the web page is being delivered to your web site guests. An example would be E-mail cloaking, where any E-mail addresses on your web site are protected from E-mail scraping robots.
